Returning Rider Basic Rider Course

So, after a long layoff you've decided to get back in the saddle again to experience the wind in your face?

Welcome Back!

The Returning Rider Basic Rider Course is a new 8 hour course designed for riders who are returning to riding after an absence. This program combines elements of the Basic Rider Course (BRC) and the Experienced Rider Course (BRC2) including a knowledge test and a skill evaluation.

After a brief familiarization, riders will be observed to see that a certain skill level is present. Proficiency in shifting (first and second gear), braking, and basic control through an offset weave, must be demonstrated in order to continue. Students who are unable to perform these basic skills will be counseled and advised to register for an upcoming Basic Rider Course. All students will be required to sign the Returning Rider Statement of Understanding.

This course is a good opportunity for the rider who wants to sharpen their skillset before returning to the road, combining classroom learning with practical experience on the range with one of our training motorcycles.

Check with your insurance company as many offer a discount for successful completion of a rider safety course. This is not a license waiver course for the state of New Hampshire.
